Women of Fashion 2005 - 2007
Three-colour linoleum block prints — 11 x 15

An ongoing series of prints dedicated to evoking a bygone era in women's fashion.

The series is dedicated to the era of the 1940s, when women's fashion, in particular, was near its zenith in the past century.

While I have endeavoured to reduce the subjects to their minimal constituent elements, I hope to evoke a sense of the time and surroundings through just such an iconic representation. I can not help but take this opportunity to give a nod to Michael Schwab, the great contemporary printmaker, who was an enormous influence in this set of prints.

The prints measure 11 x 15 inches, unframed, and are printed on Stonehenge 140 pound archival paper using oil-based inks.
