Bill at 3rd Annual Copper, Canvas, Silver & Stones exhibit.

On Saturday, November 12, 2005, Bill exhibited his first formal showing of limited edition prints at the 3rd Annual Copper, Canvas, Silver & Stones exhibition.

Long-time colleague and friend, Anna Funnekotter, invited Bill to attend as a guest artist, at what is quickly becoming an incredibly popular exhibition.

In attendance at the exhibition, which is held at the Trailhead building on Scott street, were (from left to right): Dorothy Dione (Custom Jewelry); Barbara Barkley (Copper Tooling); Bill Murray; Anna Funnekotter (Acrylics on Canvas); and fellow guest artist Paul Proulx (Photography).

First edition from the Arizona Landscape series is complete.

The latest edition of prints focuses on a subject close to Bill's heart — growing up in Arizona.

"Growing up in Phoenix, my family made frequent trips to visit Grandparents, who lived in the mountainous areas of northern Arizona."

"The return trip to Phoenix usually coincided with the sun setting over the mountains just as we entered the desert valley. I was always mesmerized by the slow transition of colours as saguaros melted to silhouettes under the long shadows, while the tops of the distant mountains caught the final rays of sunshine."

This first print, titled "Saguaros at Sunset", measures 19.75 inches by 9 inches (paper), and is printed with five oil-based inks. It is available as part of a limited edition of fifteen prints. Other prints for this series are currently in development.
