Congratulations to Ashby House.

My stepson has recently accepted a partnership with the owner of Ashby House, an outstanding Registered Massage Therapy clinic offering professional services in the Ottawa region since 2008.

This was a big move and warranted a celebration to mark the occasion with a small get together and a cake to mark the event.

So, I quickly created an illustration that was used as the primary cake decoration — a realistic rendering of the building, located in a quaint former residence in the Centretown neighbourhood of Ottawa.

Propping this up on the cake surface gave it a sense of depth and made the image easier to read from various angles and distances. Small icons, related to the specific skill sets required for his new role, were embedded in the sides of the cake.
