I have long been drawn to the beautiful, radial symmetry of the traditional mandala — a geometric configuration of symbols employed for focusing attention of practitioners and adepts, as a spiritual guidance tool, for establishing a sacred space and as an aid to meditation and trance induction.*

 

At first, I employed my drafting tools to create these meditative works by hand, typically, working with only a pencil, ruler and compass. More recently, I updated my tool set to that of the digital realm and now create my mandalas directly in Adobe Illustrator. This allows for precise, clean lines that hold even the finest details. Very suitable for colouring.
