Progress on the Automaton

Making progress on my automaton entry into the latest International Miniature Challenge. I’ve got until the end of July to get this finished.

Biggest obstacle so far has been the tolerance of each gear in relation to the other. The first few gears performed smoothly but, by the time I got to gear number ten, things started to get a bit sticky.

Tolerances on something like this are extreme. Plus, resin-built gears simply are not as precise in accuracy as a material like steel.
